Honor Band/Honor Choir

Honor band was March 15 and 16 the directer was a lady that looked like a snapping turtle. I can't remember her name. I got to play the baritone this time again. I like playing trumpet and baritone they are both really fun to play. The T.C. baritone has the same fingerings as the trumpet. I can't play the T.B. Baritone because I don't know the base clef very well that's something I have to work on. But the directer was really annoying she was really rude and she told this kid from our school that he sucked and he didn't know how to count. And she added a lot of new stuff to the music. So the kid didn't know he was supposed to play so the poor guy was all confused. And we kind of became buddies because we hated her. If you made a mistake she would go right up to your face and it reminded me of a snake she would roll her eyes and her head like a snake it was really creepy. So honor band wasn't as fun as I wanted it to be. But the concert was really good my lips were shot at the end of the concert I started tasting blood at the end of the last piece. And so did the kid next to me. both our lips were purple it was kind of scary. But other than that it was not to bad and it was kind of fun. I did learn a lot.

Honor choir was two weeks after honor band. Choir was tons better then honor band too. We had Dr. Broomhead from BYU he was really fun. He had so much energy. The first day we got on the bus to go to Mont Harmon. That school has problems. Anyway he was really late and he had us warm up by a bunch of different exercises. Then he did the first song and it was an African one we had to speak a different language too. He told us to sound kind of harsh with this song and when we did there was this girl behind us and it sounded like she was dying. My friend that was sitting behind me was afraid that she was going to puke on her. It was so funny. She would grunt on every song and every one in the soprano section would start laughing and Dr. Broomhead would look at us until we would stop. It was pretty funny.

This years songs weren't the best songs I wish we would have had better ones. The boys song again was the best in the whole concert again. I'm always jealous. I got the chance to sing my solo in the concert again. And so did Hailee's group. It was great. But after it was done it was such a relief cause I was missing so much school. It was crazy. So at school I have to catch up again. But I'm not to far behind anymore. But next I have Our spring Band concert and band festival and Hailee and I have Our spring choir concert and choir festival too. So I will update on that too.
